Conference to focus on immigration

The iiiMPACT Immigration Conference aimed at bringing together nonpartisan, nonprofit and other organizations, activists and leaders to discuss and debate issues related to immigration policy and law enforcement will be held in Wilmington
Dennis Michael Lynch’s “They Come to America” documentary will be shown at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Northeast Regional Library. The event will begin with a meet-and-greet at 6:30 p.m. and a Q&A with Lynch afterward.
On Saturday, registration for the conference begins at 9 a.m. at the Cape Fear Community College Schwartz Center. It includes workshops, lunch with a keynote speaker and a town hall discussion in the afternoon.
